Many of us are hesitant to workout because of the costs associated with it. We look at how much athletic clothing costs or even the cost of joining a local gym. Maybe some of us would rather like to workout at our home but then when we see the price of equipment, we teeter away from the idea. But it doesn’t always have to cost so much to get our workout going and live a healthier lifestyle. Here we are discussing tip on how to get fit without breaking the bank.
First, we need to make the decision on what you are looking for.
DO YOU WANT TO JOIN A GYM?
Recently gym memberships have been getting cheaper and cheaper each year. There are gym memberships currently going for a little as $10 a month that’s about two to two and a half cups less a month of the more expensive coffee most people drink in the morning per month. Though it may be hard because many of us need that pick me up in the morning/night cut the intake by two to two and half cups and you have your gym membership there. Those who smoke its less than a pack of cigarettes in most states. However, if you’re looking for a healthier lifestyle cut the cigarettes completely because they can ruin what you are trying to achieve in a workout/healthier lifestyle regardless. One of my rules I follow is instead of buy that $200 pair of boots I like I go with a similar and cheaper style because the money I save is almost my whole years’ worth of my gym membership cost. So, consider tailing back on some of the other cost habits that you have and consider the money you didn’t spend can easily go towards a gym membership.
WORKING OUT AT HOME
Working out in general doesn’t require that you have equipment such as a workout bench, a treadmill, or a stationary bike, those are just added pieces that cost money and can keep someone from working out. You can get a great workout at home simple doing push-ups, jumping jacks, sit-up/crunches, yoga, and even jogging in place. There are other opportunities to workout outside such as going for a walk, maybe a jog, or finding a bar to leverage for dips or pull-ups. You can also go out and purchase a couple of free weights (not many just a few) and do simple workout such as biceps curls, triceps extensions, bent rows, the opportunities are there to spend little or no money and still get a good workout in daily. Yoga is a great healthy routine to add to your daily life as it has so many benefits as you can see in our other forum “YOGA BALANCE YOUR LIFE”. I routinely have a morning 20-minute workout when I’m on the road or don’t have enough time to get a full workout in where I do a couple of set of push-ups, sit-ups, biceps curls, triceps extensions and a good stretch to get my blood flowing. It doesn’t take much and doesn’t have to break the bank to get a workout in at home or outdoors.
Yes, we sell athleisure wear which is great for a workout and hope you like what we offer and are planning on offering to add to your workout collection, but this forum isn’t about us selling our products. You can workout in almost anything. You can wake up out of bed and simple start a morning workout routine without even changing your clothes. I have done that plenty of times in my life working out in my pajamas. You don’t have to go out and buy a specific piece of clothing to workout in you just need to be comfortable. I have found my husband plenty of times before we started our journey, into creating FITANYSOUL, in his dress clothes getting in a stretch and doing a quick routine with some light weights because going on his 2 hour drive in to work. I even found him once in our first apartment working out with two gallons of water to add some weight to his workout because we were still unpacking. As long as you are comfortable you can workout in what you like, where you like, how you like and get your routine going.
To conclude this part of our forum, as you see working out doesn’t have to break the bank. You have plenty of options outside of what we mentioned here. Don’t be afraid to start simple with no weights and just doing exercises that get your blood flowing, body moving and muscles feeling it.
